Mr. PVN Pratap,
President
Pratap is a software engineer having over six years of
exposure to microfinance secor. He is founder, Managing
Director & CEO of Jayam Solutions (P) Ltd. which
supports microfinance institutions. Their product, FIMO,
is an integrated computer based Management Information
System. Pratap is serving in the boards of many reputed
MFIs advisory committees of couple of other MFIs. Pratap
holds a bachelor degree in Engineering (Production
Engineering). He brings in his valuable experience of
integration of technology in microfinance.

Mr. Niranjan Sheelavant, Secretary & CEO
Niranjan has been a development consultant and has over
9 years of experience in development & microfinance
sectors. His prior work experience includes serving as
team leader in participatory projects on watershed
management, tank management, sustainable agriculture &
natural resources management. Niranjan worked as a
faculty member in Bidar DCC Bank’s training centre, as
an institutional development consultant to clients of
IGS-BASIX, independent consultant for many start-up
microfinance institutions in Karnataka and Andhra
Pradesh. He has been trained and exposed to important
toolkits of MicroSave, an internationally recognized
capacity building organization dedicated to microfinance
sector. He has travelled extensively within & outside
India and seen operations of many leading and mid-sized
microfinance organisations having operations in various
methodologies. Niranjan holds a bachelor degree in
Horticulture from University of Agriculture Sciences,
Dharwad, Karnataka (1998). Niranjan is an active
Rotarian and is member in Rotary Club of Bidar New
Century (RI District 3160).

Dr. Md. Rafiuddin, Member
Dr. Rafiuddin is a doctorate in Social Sciences. He is
Founder & Executive Director of Hyderabad Council for
Human Welfare, a Hyderabad based development
organization. HCHW has been working in the field of
Child Rights in Hyderabad metro. Dr. Rafiuddin is a
seasoned development practitioner with over 15 years of
social development experience and a social
entrepreneur.

Dr. Arun Balmatti, Member
Dr. Arun is a doctorate in Agriculture Extension from
University of Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad with a
second PG degree in Appropriate Rural Technology &
Extension Skills from University of Flensburg, Germany.
He is Executive Director of AME Foundation, a Bengaluru
based multi-state NGO focused on Sustainable
Agriculture. Dr. Arun has over 15 years of development
experience and has worked with leading NGOs and
Agricultural University.

Mr. Hassan Mulla,
Member
Hassan has done B.Sc. (Agriculture) from University of
Agricultural Sciences, Dharwad and is a Postgraduate in
Agriculture Management from XIMB. He is Founder &
Chairman of Manjara Agritech Pvt. Ltd., which is a
pioneer agricultural extension services company working
in northern part of Karnataka. Prior founding Manjra,
Hassan worked with KBS Local Area Bank Ltd. (a BASIX
group institution) and was instrumental in establishing
its operations in Karnataka during its formative period.
He has also worked as a consultant to BASIX and took up
action research and general consulting in agribusiness
management to other organizations. Hassan has over 10
years of experience in livelihood promotion,
microfinance, core financial services, agribusiness and
entrepreneurship.

B. Sharanabasava, Member
Sharan has experience in development as well as
corporate sectors. After completion of his
post-graduation in Horticulture, he started working in a
grass-root voluntary organization in Raichur district
and facilitated implementation of watershed management
project. Now he is working in a leading drip irrigation
company in a senior position. He is a gold medallist in
Horticulture from University of Agricultural Sciences,
Bengaluru (2000). Sharan brings with his corporate
experience of horticulture and water management.

Dr. Rajshekhar Patil, Member
Dr. Rajshekhar is a doctor by profession and social
worker by passion. Dr. Rajshekhar has done MBBS and MD
and is a leading medical practitioner based in Bidar. He
is an active member of Rotary Club of Bidar (RI District
3160). He brings in his networking abilities to
Nirantara Community Services.
